Fifth Wheel Co Dreamseeker
5 berth, British-built, compact footprint
The Dreamseeker is the compact unit in the fleet, built by The Fifth Wheel Company in North Wales. At 24ft 11in it fits pitches the American units cannot, and the electric slide-out still opens the living area by 2.6 square metres. Underfloor heating runs off an Alde combi boiler, which earns its keep at a cold spring event.

Why a fifth wheel
An American fifth wheel is usually what people mean when they search for American motorhome hire or Winnebago hire: the same scale of vehicle, built as a towed trailer rather than a motorhome, which is why you will also see it listed as a 5th wheel caravan. The distinction works in your favour. A Winnebago, like any motorhome, gives several feet of its length to an engine and a driving cab. With no cab to allow for, all 41ft of the Cedar Creek Silverback and the Jayco Northpoint is living space, and four slide-outs push the walls out to around 400 square feet.
That is the case for RV hire with slide-outs in the UK, and you see it on the way in: a living room with residential furniture, a kitchen with a gas hob, oven, microwave and full-size fridge freezer, a bathroom with a residential shower, and a king bed made up with fresh linen. Both American units carry 15,000 BTU air conditioning as well as central heating. The two American trailers sleep 6 to 8, the Wildwood Heritage Glen sleeps 4 and the Dreamseeker up to 5. None of it costs you effort, because the unit is not self-drive. We tow it from our base in the Cotswolds, level it, connect the water and power, and collect it when you leave, at motorsport weekends, music festivals, equestrian competitions and long stays across the UK and Europe. You pick the layout, from the Cedar Creek's separate ends to the Northpoint's front lounge. Then tell us where you need to be.
Common questions about the fleet
What is the difference between a fifth wheel, a motorhome and a campervan?
A campervan and a motorhome are driven by you. A fifth wheel is towed, and once it is sited the truck drives away and leaves 41ft of accommodation behind. None of that length goes to an engine or a cab, and four electric slide-outs widen the interior to around 400 square feet, which is more room than any motorhome you could drive in the UK. You never tow ours in any case: we bring the unit in, level it, connect it, and collect it after you leave.
How many people does a luxury fifth wheel sleep?
Six to eight in the two American trailers. The Cedar Creek Silverback and the Jayco Northpoint each take 6 to 8, across a king master bedroom, a second sleeping area and convertible seating. The Wildwood Heritage Glen sleeps 4: a king master downstairs and two singles in the loft. The Fifth Wheel Co Dreamseeker sleeps up to 5, on a king island bed and a convertible sofa.
Is there a proper shower and a flushing toilet inside?
Yes, in every unit. The Cedar Creek has a separate shower cubicle with glass doors and a dual vanity, en-suite to the king bedroom; the Northpoint runs a full-size shower with a rainfall head; the Dreamseeker has its own full-size shower behind a glass bi-fold door. Toilets are porcelain and plumbed to the unit’s waste tanks, which we connect and service. Nothing here is a wet room with a curtain.
Do the fifth wheels have air conditioning?
Yes. The Cedar Creek Silverback runs 15,000 BTU dual-zone air conditioning, so the bedroom and the living area can sit at different temperatures, and the Jayco Northpoint carries two 15,000 BTU units. Central heating is fitted alongside it, and the Dreamseeker adds underfloor heating off an Alde combi boiler. Air conditioning is the thing a British-built motorhome hire almost never gives you.
