A small fleet led by the Cedar Creek Silverback and Jayco Northpoint: slide-outs opening up to around 400 sq ft, sleeps 4 to 8 depending on the unit

Transport, siting, servicing and collection handled in-house

The basics

Who we are, what the units are and where we go.

What is Stay Go Premium?

A small family business in the Cotswolds that hires out American fifth wheels and delivers them to events: motorsport, festivals, equestrian competitions, corporate hospitality and film locations across the UK and Europe. The unit arrives sited, connected and serviced. You just arrive.

What is in the fleet?

The units we hire out include the Cedar Creek Silverback, the Jayco Northpoint, the Wildwood Heritage Glen and the Fifth Wheel Co Dreamseeker. The American pair each run slide-outs opening up to around 400 sq ft of interior, a king bed, a residential shower, a full kitchen, and air conditioning with central heating.

What is a fifth wheel and how is it different from a caravan?

A fifth wheel is a large towed trailer that couples over the bed of a pickup truck rather than to a tow bar, which is where the name comes from. Against a touring caravan the difference is size and build: slide-outs open the interior to as much as 400 square feet, with residential ceiling heights and full-size appliances. It is closer to a small apartment than to a caravan, which is the point of hiring one.

How is a fifth wheel different from a motorhome?

A motorhome gives part of its length to an engine and a driving cab. A fifth wheel is towed, so every foot of it is accommodation. You never drive ours anyway: we bring each unit to the venue, set it up and take it away again, which leaves you the space without the cockpit.

Which events and venues do you serve?

Circuits including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Goodwood, Donington Park, Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and the Nürburgring. Festivals including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Download, and Reading and Leeds. Equestrian events including Badminton, Burghley, Bramham and Royal Windsor. Plus corporate events, film locations and private sites across the UK and Europe.

Space and sleeping

Beds, bathrooms and the 400 square feet.

How many people does it sleep?

The range is 4 to 8, depending on the trailer. The American fifth wheels take 6 to 8 comfortably across two bedrooms and convertible living space; the Heritage Glen sleeps 4 and the Dreamseeker up to 5.

Who sleeps where?

A king bed in the master suite at the front, with ensuite access. A second bedroom takes a queen bed or bunks, and the dining and sofa areas convert. We talk the layout through when you book so it fits your group.

What is included inside?

Linen, towels and made-up beds. A kitchen with full-size fridge freezer, hob, oven and microwave, plus cookware, crockery and utensils. A full bathroom, heating and air conditioning, a TV and storage throughout. Bring your toiletries; everything else is there.

How big is it inside?

Around 400 square feet once the slide-outs are open, with residential ceiling heights and an open-plan living area. Eight people can live in it for a week without tripping over each other.

Is one bathroom enough for 8 people?

The bathroom is full-size, with a residential shower rather than a wet-room compromise, and the larger layout adds a second WC. Hot water and holding tanks are sized for full occupancy.

Booking and availability

Lead times, prices and how to hold your dates.

How much does it cost to hire an American RV in the UK?

Starting from £2,000 plus delivery. What the price covers does not move. Delivery, siting, connection, servicing, linen, insurance on the unit and support around the clock are all inside it; your event tickets are not. Send those three details by form, phone or email and we come back with a full figure for your booking.

How much does it cost to hire a motorhome for a festival?

Starting from £2,000 plus delivery. Each festival sets its own live-in vehicle and pitch terms. What we quote covers the lot: the fifth wheel (you drive nothing, unlike a motorhome), delivery and collection around the festival schedule, and setup on the pitch. Name the festival and we price it for your dates.

How far in advance should I book a motorhome for the British Grand Prix?

Three to six months for the British Grand Prix, and the same for Glastonbury and Badminton. Four to eight weeks is often enough elsewhere. Ask early either way; the fleet is small.

What do you need from me when I book?

The event and dates, your party size, your preferred pitch or paddock area if you have one, and anything unusual, such as generator power. We handle the rest.

Can I book back-to-back events?

Yes. Teams following a race series, riders competing through the season and groups doing more than one festival often keep a unit across consecutive bookings.

Do you take last-minute bookings?

When the fleet is free, yes. We cannot promise a pitch at short notice, but ask: it works more often than you would expect.

Can I see one before I book?

Yes, at our Cotswolds base, by appointment. Worth doing if it is your first hire.

Delivery and setup

What we do before you arrive.

Is the RV delivered and set up before I arrive?

Yes, always. Delivery, siting, levelling, connection where the venue provides services, a walkthrough of the systems, and collection afterwards. There is no version of the hire where you tow anything.

How big a pitch do I need for an American RV at a festival?

The American units are 41ft long and 8ft wide before the slide-outs open, so the pitch needs room for the slides, the steps and our tow vehicle to manoeuvre. You measure nothing yourself. We agree the exact pitch with the festival or organiser before we confirm the booking, and the compact Dreamseeker covers sites the big units cannot reach.

When do you deliver?

Usually 12 to 24 hours before your event opens. For race weekends that tends to mean Wednesday or Thursday. We agree the slot with the organiser and confirm it with you in advance.

What happens during setup?

We position and level the unit, open the slide-outs, connect electricity, water and waste where available, test everything, then walk you round the systems. It takes one to two hours, and it is done before you arrive.

What if the pitch is not level?

We carry levelling kit and deal with most ground. A level unit matters for the appliances, the doors and the slides, so we do not cut corners on it.

Do you connect utilities?

Where the venue has them, yes: mains power, water and waste. Where it does not, the unit carries fresh and waste tanks with multi-day capacity, and we supply generator power.

What about generators?

For sites without hookups we bring a generator sized to run everything, air conditioning included, with fuel for your whole hire.

How it works

Tell us the event and your dates.

We check availability and confirm what fits.

We handle site access.

We deal with the venue or organiser, the pitch, and the logistics.

We deliver, set up and collect.

It is serviced and ready when you arrive. You do nothing.

No towing, no licence, no setup. We deal with the venue, you deal with your weekend.

What is inside

Kitchen, climate, storage and linen.

Can I cook in it?

Properly. Full-size fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, double sink and worktop space, with cookware, crockery and utensils provided. Some guests self-cater all weekend; others use it for breakfast and coffee.

Is there heating and air conditioning?

Both, dual-zone, so the bedroom and the living area can run at different temperatures. Warm in a cold British spring, cool in a July heatwave.

What about TV and music?

TVs with DVD and audio systems, and in most units a second screen in the master bedroom. Reception depends on the venue, so bring a streaming device if the programme matters to you.

Is there WiFi?

Subject to signal at the venue, we can add a mobile hotspot to your hire, with stronger options for production and corporate work. Ask when you book.

How much storage is there?

Wardrobes in the bedrooms, under-bed storage, overhead lockers and exterior compartments. A week of clothing and kit for 8 goes in without the unit feeling full.

Are linen and towels provided?

Yes. Beds are made before you arrive, with pillows, bedding and bath towels for everyone. Toiletries are the one thing you bring.

Europe

Le Mans, Spa and the paperwork in between.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Yes. We deliver to European motorsport, equestrian and festival events, including Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Zandvoort and the Nürburgring.

Who handles customs and paperwork?

We do: documentation, carnets, permits and insurance compliance. Cross-border logistics are part of the job, not an extra you arrange.

Is support the same abroad?

Identical. The same team, reachable around the clock, for the whole of your hire.

How does European delivery work?

The unit travels on our own hauling equipment, timed to the event schedule and the venue’s access windows. Setup is the same as in the UK: sited, levelled, connected, tested.

Your kind of event

Circuits, horse trials, festivals, sets and corporate hospitality.

Can you deliver to European circuits?

Regularly: the Le Mans 24 Hours, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Barcelona-Catalunya, Zandvoort and the Nürburgring. We handle transport, paddock coordination and the pitch itself.

Do you know equestrian events?

Well. Badminton, Burghley, Bramham, Royal Windsor and Blenheim are regulars, and we understand early arrivals, stable proximity and the shape of a three-day event. Many equestrian families rebook every year.

Do you deliver and set up the RV at the festival for us?

Yes, at major UK and European festivals, with the unit sited and connected before the gates open. You get a private, lockable base with a real bed, a real shower and climate control, a walk from the music.

Do I still need to buy a campervan pass from the festival?

Your festival entry tickets are yours to buy, and they sit outside the hire. The pitch, and any live-in vehicle pass that goes with it, we arrange with the organiser as part of the booking. Every festival writes its own terms for live-in vehicles and those pitches go early, so name the festival when you enquire and we will confirm what yours requires before you commit to dates.

Do I need a live-in vehicle pass to camp at Silverstone?

Circuits control where live-in vehicles can go, and at Silverstone that means the official RV camping areas. Whatever pass or pitch allocation the venue requires, we arrange it with the organiser as part of your booking, so it is settled before you travel.

Do you do corporate hospitality?

Yes: client entertainment at sporting venues, brand activations and executive accommodation, with staffing and extra amenities added where the brief calls for them.

And film and TV crews?

Yes. Crew accommodation, production offices, green rooms and basecamp facilities on location, including places with no hotel for miles.

Long stays and self builds

Living on your plot while the house goes up.

Do you need planning permission to live in a caravan while building a house?

Sometimes, and the answer sits with your council rather than with us. Temporary accommodation on your own plot during a build is usually treated differently from a permanent dwelling, and how long you stay matters, so ask your local planning authority before you commit.

Is it cheaper to live in a caravan than rent during a self build?

It can be, depending on local rents and how long the build runs. What the hire gives you is one predictable monthly figure covering the unit, servicing and insurance, with no tenancy, no deposit and no commute, because you are living on your own plot.

What is the minimum hire for a self build or renovation?

Three months. Monthly rates are priced per job, and longer terms bring the rate down. If the schedule slips, and build schedules do, extending is straightforward.

The practical bits

Weather, pets, breakages and the small print.

What happens in bad weather?

The units are insulated and weather-sealed, with heating that copes with a British winter and air conditioning for summer. You stay warm and dry whatever it does outside.

Can I extend my hire?

Often, subject to what the fleet is doing next. Ask as early as you can and we will try to keep the unit with you.

What about security and insurance?

Insurance for the unit is included in every hire. Doors, windows and lockers all lock, and many venues offer secure paddock or parking areas. Treat valuables as you would in any accommodation.

Are pets allowed?

No, to keep the units right for every guest, allergies included. If you rely on an assistance animal, talk to us.

What is the cleaning policy?

Leave it roughly as you found it. Normal cleaning is included; heavy soiling or damage beyond fair wear may be charged.

What if something breaks?

Call us. The support line runs around the clock for your whole hire, and we fix problems by phone, parts or a call-out, whichever it takes.

Do I need a special licence to drive or tow an American RV?

No, because you never drive or tow it. Our team brings the unit in on our own equipment, sites it and takes it away at the end, so your driving licence is never part of the hire.

Do I need a C1 licence to hire an American RV?

No. C1 is the licence category for vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes, it needs a D4 medical and a separate test, and anyone who passed a car test after 1 January 1997 holds category B without it. American RVs usually sit above that weight, which is where the question comes from. None of it applies to this hire. The unit is towed to your site by our own driver, so the only licence involved is ours.

Can I collect it myself?

No. A fifth wheel needs a heavy-duty tow vehicle and someone who knows how to place and level it, so delivery is part of every hire. The unit is not self drive.

How do slide-outs work?

They are wall sections that extend electrically to widen the interior. We open them all during setup; you never touch a switch unless you want to.

What if I need something mid-hire?

The same around-the-clock line covers questions, supplies and anything else. Most guests never need it. It is there anyway.

Will I know how everything works?

Yes. At handover we walk you through climate control, the kitchen, water and power, and what to do if anything looks wrong, before we leave you to it.

After you book

Payment, paperwork and what happens next.

How do I book?

Send the form or call with the event, your dates and your party size. We price it, you approve it, and a booking agreement and deposit invoice hold your dates.

What happens after I book?

Confirmation paperwork, venue-specific information, guidance on what to bring, and our support contacts. We confirm the delivery slot a few days before your event.

How does payment work?

A deposit secures the booking and the balance falls due 30 days before your event. We take bank transfer and major credit cards, and we invoice companies against a purchase order. The exact terms are in your booking agreement.

Can I cancel?

Terms depend on timing and are set out in your booking agreement. We are as flexible as the calendar allows, and for high-value bookings we suggest event insurance.

The short version

Every question on this page comes down to the same trade. You want to be at the event, you want somewhere decent to sleep, and most venues make you pick one. Our answer, for anyone looking to hire an American RV in the UK or across Europe, is to bring the accommodation to the event: a luxury American fifth wheel, delivered to the circuit, the festival, the showground or the set, and set up before you arrive.

The facts that matter are short. The fleet is small, and includes: the Cedar Creek Silverback, the Jayco Northpoint, the Wildwood Heritage Glen and the Fifth Wheel Co Dreamseeker. Slide-outs open each unit to around 400 square feet, sleeping up to 8, with a king bed, a residential shower and a kitchen built around a full-size fridge freezer. We tow it, site it, level it and connect it, in the UK and across Europe, and we collect it when you leave. Linen is included, support runs around the clock, and the unit is never self drive, which is why the hire needs no C1 licence and no tow vehicle from you.

If your question is not answered above, it takes one email or one phone call to fix that. Write to contact@staygopremium.co.uk or call +44 (0) 7532 326 987 with the event, your dates and your party size, and we will come back with availability.
